As we have had such a dry summer, we are hoping to get as many locals as possible to come and line the Torchlight route, to stop the procession walking on pavements (so no setting fire to the tinder dry overhanging undergrowth), so we remain incident free, and our beloved Torchlight Procession can continue to be a fitting finale to our annual Carnival events.
Instructions for Participants;
1. Do NOT LIGHT torch before you can physically move off
– Keep a safe distance from person in front of you.
– Hold lit torch up & tilt it slightly forward
2. Do NOT walk on Pavements * KEEP ON THE ROAD*
