It is with great relief that the Bridport Carnival Committee confirms that the 2022 carnival events are due to proceed week commencing Monday 15th August 2022.
We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Chris Loder M.P, along with Daryl Chambers and Will Austin from the Town Council, for their proactive help in over coming the objections to our ever popular Torchlight procession, so that the event should be able to continue.
Thanks also to Will from Chesil Security for stepping in to sponsor the Banner needed to initiate our ‘Keep the Bridport Torches Burning’ Campaign, and to Michelle Holmes-Good who spent a great deal of her time setting up and following up on both the online petition, and the ‘paper’ one, which led to the tremendous support achieved
We hope that Bridport will rise to the occasion, by fully supporting the week long events – albeit by offering to help organise, (become a Committee member or a Friend of Bridport Carnival)
- or entering an event
- or get together with family / friends to build and enter a float
- or supporting those who have entered.
