The Bridport Carnival Royalty Competition – sponsored by Nantes Solicitors – was held on Sunday 29th June at 4.30pm in the gloriously sunny gardens at Groves Nursery (thanks, Charlie). Every one seemed to enjoy the event – especially the dancing – thank you, Teresa Grinter!
After a long deliberation by judges Ita Larcombe, Julie Harris, Helen Gilson, & Jackie Seogalutze, last years winner Marley Franklin Jones handed the winners their sashes (thank you Mystic Signs) and a lovely posy (thank you Jackie Seogalutze)
Sivatia Goligher (12Yrs) and Luna Lee (9 yrs) were chosen to be attendants to this years winner 11 year old Ava Hook
They will have to wait until Saturday 2nd August to be officially crowned at the Carnivals Teddy Bears Picnic (at Mountfield) by the Mayor – crowns supplied by Balsons and their flowers will be supplied by Ivy Florists. Look forward to seeing you all there!
All 3 girls will be centre of attention on the Bridport Carnivals Royal float during the procession on Saturday 16th August, and again leading the iconic Torchlight procession on Sunday 17th

Bridport Carnival procession is FREE to enter, and there are monetary prizes to be won! Anyone can enter, from walking entries to motorised floats – use it to advertise your club/hobby/skill/ business whilst having a bit of fun!
